OOCName: Anya
Contact:kaldwin
Other characters: N/A
ICName: Edward 'Eddie' Kaspbrak
Canon: Stephen King's IT (2019 movie)
Canon point: End of movie, post death
Age: 40, born September 3, 1976
History: "They´re gazebos! They're bullshit!" + "A clown. Yeah, I saw him, too."
Personality:BRAVERY — Given his general disputation and neurotic nature it might be a surprise to see the sort of courage that Eddie shows when it comes to the other Losers. As a child and now as an adult, once he is reminded of said bravery, he is more than willing to face and endure pain if it means protecting the most important people in his life. When push comes to shove, he isn't afraid to throw down between beating Bowers' gang with rocks as a child or pulling a fucking knife out of his face as an adult to stab Bowers who just stabbed him in the face. Eddie's last two acts of life are literally done in order to save his friends— spearing Pennywise in the face to get Richie out of the deadlights and managing to pass on the knowledge needed to finally defeat him.
RELIABILITY — Eddie is unsurprisingly loyal to the other Losers. He tries to be as reliable and loyal as they are to him and it shows in his actions as both a child and an adult. Once he begins getting his memories back that reliable and loyal nature begins to surface again after nearly three decades of forgetting himself. He respects his friends and their own journeys and, yeah, he fucking stumbles sometimes but he kicks back with a passion and he'll fight tooth and nail to prove himself. Most important, like the other Losers— he keeps his promises and is consistent in his actions.
COMPASSION — Although Eddie can be highly opinionated and blunt with a sharp tongue, he has a kindness and warmth that is unmistakable. He has empathy and the capacity to put himself in the shoes of another person to better understand what they are going through. You see this often with his initial friendship with Bill and growing as others join their small circle of friends. Even in his more overbearing moments of tending to others with his own medical knowledge whether dressing wounds or dishing out facts, he does this because Eddie cares so much for them. And although this part of himself is buried along with many other pieces of himself when he forgets his life in Derry it returns upon reuniting with the other Losers.
ANXIETY — Eddie's life has been living with near crippling anxiety that both his mother and wife have played off as more serious, less easily treatable conditions. This has mostly been played to him in the form of having serious asthma that can only be solved with use of an inhaler when in truth he suffered from panic attacks that he has just never learned how to properly manage. This started as a child and has only grown worse as an adult, resulting in him continuing to live as a hypochondriac with a fear of the unknown and anything that might possibly cause him sickness or be 'infected' as it were.
CONFIDENCE — Due to his upbringing and the overall helicopter parent (and helicopter spouse) he grew up with has stunted the growth of confidence in himself. Although he has that firm trust in others, especially like his friend and their group leader Bill, he lacks it in himself for a variety of reasons that mostly stim back to being told he was 'weak' and 'sick' throughout his whole life. He begins to gain back some of that confidence as his memories return once he returns to Derry but it is cut short when he dies during the final battle.
CAUTIOUS — Given everything Eddie has been through with his group of friends its not a surprise that he is cautious but this can sometimes push him into being unassertive and resist-to-change. He can sometimes see the world as very 'black or white' and believe what he is told even if it comes across as wild to other people. After nearly twenty-seven years of having of having his memories buried this does begin to change in the presence of the other Losers and learn how to better himself before he dies.
Powers/Abilities: Eddie is your normal forty-year-old risk assessor from Earth in 2016. His only real skills are spearing clowns in the face, serious bicycling, first aid and random hardcore healthcare facts. Want to know how many people die every year from coconuts falling on their noggins? Here's your guy. The only ability he has that is vaguely considered 'supernatural' is his unusual sense of direction and ability to never get himself lost.
Regret: His death. Eddie was just beginning to get his life back on track as his memories returned and had a lot ahead of him which was very violently cut short following their final battle with Pennywise.
Inventory: Just the clothes on his back.
