( It almost feels shockingly out of place to be here, in this moment, comforting Richie as he cries. Eddie can remember so many times that Richie was the one comforting him instead. It feels strange but also good, he likes that for once he can offer someone comfort instead of being smothered in worry from people that pretended it was out of love instead of wanting to tether him down forever.

Thankfully, Richie kisses him again and brings him out of his descent into those memories. Without a second thought, he moves to return it and simply allows himself to enjoy the taste of Richie on his lips until they part. )
